Here is what I say about Snow Days - ALRIGHT!! It is a blessing sent from heaven! It is too bad heaven didn't bless Utah the same way while I was there... or else New Englanders just overreact whenever it snows more then nine inches at a time and cancels school and work. Nonetheless I am THRILLED I get to stay at home for a day in my long johns and sweatshirt.
Actually, I am not even at my home but rather KJ&A's home. Because of the storm, I didn't want to drive all the way back to Boston to wake up at 5:00 to drive back so I just stopped halfway to stay the night. In the end my one night ended up being two nights and a day. But the funny thing is is Kemp and Avy are in Utah and Joseph flew out today for a business trip; so I am here alone using their computer to type a blog post in front of their fire. J
Today, instead of going to work for Harvard's Pilgrims, I shoveled the driveway with Joseph, made pancakes and eggs for breakfast, took a nap, did an hour of P90X stretching, shoveled the driveway a second time, cleaned off cars, convinced the old man across the street (by giving a wink and a smile) to come and clear out the mailbox with his snowblower so the mailman won't drive past again without stopping like he did today, sent Joseph off to the airport, and at cereal for lunch. Now for the rest of my day, I plan on shoveling one more time and reading Angels and Demons. What a good day! Thank you overreactor New Englanders!
One final note - I think it only snows on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I've shoveled Kemp and Joseph's driveway even more than they do! Ha!!
